Waltham Forest Talking therapies (IAPT) is looking for an exceptional clinician to take on the role of clinical lead for the Waltham Forest Borough. You will be a registered practitioner with a breadth of experience in Mental Health services who is able to work alongside the Professional & Strategic lead to ensure safe, efficient and quality service provision within Waltham Forest primary care. You will be part of a multi-professional workforce that have been working in significantly increasing access to treatment for people with depression, anxiety disorders.

The post-holder we are seeking will be an experienced senior CBT therapist, fully registered with the appropriate professional body and can demonstrate leadership in professional and clinical spheres. The post-holder will provide clinical leadership and specialist treatment and assessment within their professional sphere of expertise in IAPT.  Additionally they would be required to be accredited therapist and supervisor with the BABCP.  They will be responsible for assessment, treatment and systematic outcome measurement and ensure extensive clinical supervision of staff throughout the WF IAPT team is present. The post holder will be accountable for their own professional actions, and will work within professional ethics & Trust Policies.

As a senior clinician within the service, you will bring highly developed knowledge of specialist therapeutic assessment, formulation and intervention skills and specific knowledge and expertise in the areas of common mental health problems.

You will ensure that a high quality, timely, accessible and evidence-based interventions is available to all service users who need it. You will establish and maintain excellent working relationships with wider mental health and wellbeing services and ensure adherence to evidence based treatments are carried out by all clinical staff across the IAPT team.

NELFT Talking therapies service provides psychological therapy within the standards of the stepped care model and offers evidence based treatments from different modalities.  The Trust is committed to four Talking therapies and is seeking to employ motivated staff to contribute to the success of these services which has met the national targets.

Working across Waltham Forest, you will be able to engage GPs, Service Users, staff and partner agencies in the provision of services in this locality.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.  As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement – London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £3,722 to a maximum of £4,743).
