The Community Recovery team in Waltham Forest is looking to recruit Community Mental Health Nurses for full and part-time vacancies . The post holder will be working within a dynamic and friendly multi-disciplinary team. Applicants will have at least 2 years’ experience of working within mental health setting and will possess excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills as well as evidence based knowledge of working in the Recovery Model framework.
The service is undergoing some exciting changes and will be participating in the national Open Dialogue research trial in July 2019. The Successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside colleagues in the newly formed Open Dialogue cluster. We are also implementing the Serenity Integrated programme into our services in October 2019 and have staff members engaged in Quality Improvement projects . All successful candidates will have the opportunity to participate in the projects and apply for training and development initiatives
From October 2019 the team will be moving into a brand new purpose built health and well being centre which accommodate both Mental health and community health services. You will be working as part of our multi-disciplinary team and will care coordinate a caseload of service users that have complex and challenging needs. As a nurse you will have the opportunity to work within the wellness clinic to deliver physical and mental health interventions.
We require good IT skills and knowledge of using electronic recording systems. It is essential that you are willing to work flexibly within the demand of service.
You will work closely within a multi disciplinary team and other agencies to deliver recovery focused health and social care interventions that includes managing risk and the Safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide managerial supervision to junior colleagues, mentor MDT students and participate in on-going educational and research programmes.
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
At NELFT we set very high standards to ensure we provide quality services. We require prospective employees to carry out an online literacy and numeracy test, equivalent to NVQ Level 2. Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement – London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £3,722 to a maximum of £4,743).
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
