We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated & experienced podiatrist to join our friendly team within NELFT.

The post of the hospital-based Acute & Community Foot Protection Pathway Lead is predominantly based at Queens Hospital.   The role is focused mostly within Diabetes MDT clinics working collaboratively with key clinicians, including consultants and specialist nurses; supporting consultant-led diabetes, vascular, orthopaedic and MDT clinics and ward rounds. 0.8wte of the fulltime role is clinical.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate that they have significant experience in the following

  • Working in an acute diabetes MDT
  • Significant clinical and operational experience in complex diabetic foot care interventions and management
  • Coordinating treatment plans and care pathways with community colleagues
  • Line management of Band 5-6 podiatrists

You will be required to deputise for the Podiatry Manager as required and this will involve attending senior meetings.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.  As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham Essex

High Cost Area Supplement - London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £3,659 to a maximum of £4,664).
