We are seeking motivated and dynamic Band 5 Financial Accountants to apply for this exciting opportunity to work with NELFT Finance team.

To succeed for this role you must meet the following criteria :

• AAT Qualified or will be taking the last stage within six month

• Significant experience of control accounts, agreement of balance ,purchase and sales ledger within NHS Finance environment

• Knowledge of fundamental accounting principles (the rules which govern accountancy procedure and practice)

The role will require the successful candidate to work as part of the team based at the CEME Centre, Rainham. The successful post holder will however be required to embrace agile working in line with the Trust policy.

The main responsibilities of the post:

Supporting the Trust in managing the payroll provider to improve the flow,

timeliness and quality of information and payroll processing resulting in a

higher level of accuracy.

To be the payroll point of contact for Trust directors, managers and staff

and external agencies.

Be the point of contact for applicants, drivers, managers, lease

companies and suppliers.

Obtain quotes, place orders and verify invoices once the correctly

authorised application is received.

Organise the delivery and return of the cars with the drivers, lease

companies and Transport Department.

Compile the documentation for the driver agreement and the lease

company agreement and obtain signatories signatures.

To liaise with SERCO, payroll provider, trusts staff and third parties to

ensure the prompt reconciliation of payroll controls accounts for payroll.

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

High Cost Area Supplement - London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £3,659 to a maximum of £4,664).
