Community Mental Health Nurse Band 5
- Barking Dagenham & Havering Home Treatment Team is seeking to recruit a band 5 Registered Community Mental Health Nurses.
Staff is expected to have a very clear understanding of Home Treatment/Crisis Resolution Model of service delivery including Gate keeping and facilitating early discharges from the ward. The candidate must have Drivers Licence and access to a car for HTT role
The main responsibilities of the post:
•To ensure that care plans reflect the psychological, emotional, social care, treatment, intervention and risk management needs appropriate to adults with acute mental health problems
- Flexible approach in care provision with focus on choice and social inclusion opportunities
•To work closely with other disciplines to deliver joined up care
•Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to listen to others’ views and respect and value individuals from a diverse range of background
- Medication management.

Starting with NELFT
At NELFT we set very high standards to ensure we provide quality services. We require prospective employees to carry out an online literacy and numeracy test, equivalent to NVQ Level 2. If you are shortlisted, invited for interview and successfully offered the post, you will be required to undertake an assessment for these skills during the pre-employment checks.
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham Essex
High Cost Area Supplement - London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £3,659 to a maximum of £4,664).
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
