Come and work for a dynamic Community Physiotherapy Team in Havering  Essex..

NELFT are committed to providing a working environment that promotes Staff Health and Wellbeing, encouraging staff to engage in a wide range of different activities to support this.

We are a generic community therapy team consisting of both physiotherapists and occupational therapists, working alongside a large team of community nurses. We collaboratively work with other community teams.

Our patients are over the age of 18 and predominantly housebound. We assess and treat patients with a variety of conditions including general mobility, ongoing rehabilitation, , Falls, Orthopaedic

Community Physiotherapy provides an excellent opportunity for career development by learning new transferable skills that can be applied to many areas of physiotherapy.

We want someone who is able to see our patients as individuals, with multifaceted needs, who has the ability to carry out a holistic assessment of all areas of their lives, who considers and includes the opinions of the patient, their families and carers. You will be responsible for your own workload and allocated patients, working autonomously but with the support of a wider integrated team. Agile working is encouraged to support best practise and safe patient care. You must also be able to get yourself and any equipment that you need around our communities efficiently.

We are offering a 22.5 hours per week post

Applications from students and newly qualified physiotherapists are welcome as we can offer you a comprehensive induction program, with regular supervision and peer support within the team.

 

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

 

Assessment/Interview info

At NELFT we set very high standards to ensure we provide quality services. We require prospective employees to carry out an online literacy and numeracy test, equivalent to NVQ Level 2. For more information regarding our assessments, please visit our website.  If you are shortlisted, invited for interview and successfully offered the post, you will be required to undertake an assessment for these skills during the pre-employment checks.

 

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust.  All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.  As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.  The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham Essex

 

High Cost Area Supplement - London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £3,722 to a maximum of £4,743).
