You really can’t look past this opportunity!
The Occupational Therapy role within the NELFT Adult Home Treatment Teams has recently been reviewed resulting in the development of an OT sub-team operating across the three established HTTs. This Adult HTT OT Service focuses on OT specific interventions.
OT interventions within the Adult HTT OT Service focus on recovery and social inclusion (including employment, education and training), re-motivation, living skills and developing meaningful roles. This includes developing and facilitating a group programme, running OT clinics and providing 1:1 interventions. You will work closely with other OT’s and Support, Time and Recovery Workers within the Adult HTT OT service and the wider NELFT Acute Care Pathway.
OT’s in the Adult HTT OT Service receive clinical supervision from a Senior OT and opportunities are provided for ongoing CPD via the in-house OT CPD Programme.
The Adult HTT OT Service is a Monday to Friday service, working either 8am – 4pm or 9am – 5pm.
The development of the Adult HTT OT Service has necessitated the recruitment of three Band 6 Occupational Therapists, so if you are a forward thinking OT who wants the opportunity to demonstrate your clinical skills, promote high quality practice and improve the patient experience, then this is an opportunity you can’t look past.
Three shifts per week are worked within the Adult HTT OT Service. Two shifts per week are worked as early shifts (8am – 4pm) based within one of the Adult HTTs visiting service users in their home or the community. During these shifts, where possible, work is allocated on a needs basis meaning that the majority of service users visited will have some type of occupational need.
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
