We are looking for a physiotherapist who has experience of working in the community. You need to be hardworking, able to work with remote supervision and able to manage your own caseload. You need to be able to use your initiative and work flexibly to respond to the service need. You need to be a confident autonomous practitioner who is able to be self directed and well organised.
The team works from 9am to 5pm Mondays to Fridays and 9am to 12:45pm Saturdays and Sundays 365 days a year. The team work across Brentwood, Billericay, Wickford and Basildon.
Working as part of the Intensive Rehabilitation Service (IRS) to provide high quality, timely rehabilitation for patients requiring step up from the integrated health team or step down from an acute or community bed.
Delivering high quality rehabilitation in a patient’s home rather than in a community bed setting for those patients with a rehabilitation need as part of a multi professional service/team.
Working with patient centred goal orientated rehabilitation, self management and independence throughout the continuum of care.
Providing onward referrals to other community services including health and social care to ensure the safe management of the patient when completing their IRS episode of care.
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
At NELFT we set very high standards to ensure we provide quality services. We require prospective employees to carry out an online literacy and numeracy test, equivalent to NVQ Level 2. Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement - Essex
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £1,000 to a maximum of £1,733).
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
