Within NELFT Long Term Conditions team, is a unique opportunity to be part of an innovative approach to practice and to make a real difference to patients with long term respiratory disease as part of a dedicated Pulmonary Rehabilitation team.
We are looking for an exceptional Physiotherapy Assistant with an interest/experience in Respiratory care, particularly Pulmonary Rehabilitation to join our team.
Ours service is 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday, this post requires the applicant to be able to work on a Monday, Wednesday and a Friday, this post will be 9am - 5.15pm.
You would play a pivotal role in the development of Pulmonary Rehabilitation services within South West Essex, supporting primary care, nursing therapist, and medical teams in the rehabilitation of patients with chronic respiratory disease.
An in–service training programme and staff appraisal system is in operation to help you develop your career in the right direction. We actively support Continued Professional Development.

The ability to travel throughout South West Essex and the surrounding areas is integral to the post: there is a car-leasing scheme available.
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
At NELFT we set very high standards to ensure we provide quality services. We require prospective employees to carry out an online literacy and numeracy test, equivalent to NVQ Level 2. Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £1,000 to a maximum of £1,733).
