We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Dietitian with community experience who wants to play a key role in developing outstanding care for patients requiring nutrition support, community rehabilitation and disease prevention. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to put their own mark on a developing role.
The successful candidate with work closely with community rehabilitation teams to support patients being discharged from hospital and play a key role in developing training and group sessions for a variety of patients with long term conditions. They will also play a key role in disease prevention by being actively involved in the area of diabetes prevention and working with the team lead to develop this area of the service.
The role will also involve general dietetic clinics, involvement in student training and provide opportunities for experience in other specialist areas such as gastroenterology and home enteral feeding.
We are a small and dynamic team of Dietitians, Dietetic Assistants and administrative staff who look forward to working with someone with excellent communication skills and a drive to provide the best care for their patients.
You will be pleasantly surprised by the area, and travel could not be easier with excellent road and rail links to the M25, A127, A13 and A12. Train journey for London takes 35 minutes.
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probatonary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
At NELFT we set very high standards to ensure we provide quality services. We require prospective employees to carry out an online literacy and numeracy test, equivalent to NVQ Level 2. Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement - Essex
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £1,017 and a maximum payment of £1,762).
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
